A few weeks ago I had my students write about what life would be like without memories. The majority of them responded on how life would be pointless and sad. I agree. Memories are part of our daily lives. Just last night I went to a visitation for one of my high school friend’s dad. While driving there, I kept thinking about all the wonderful memories we had together. If I didn’t have those memories then I wouldn’t have those life connections.
Each day when we wake up we create memories. A lot of the times we take those memories for granted. It’s not until a death occurs, a friend moves a way, or a disaster occurs that we think about those memories. In today’s world we have the advantage of technology to help us keep the memories longer with digital photographs and now cell phones with cameras. I guess what I am trying to say is don’t take your memories for granted. Share them with the ones you’ve created them with and pass them on. Enjoy life to the fullest–LIVE!
